Im back from a great trip down to London for the photobloggers meetup. It was excellent to put some faces to some photoblogs and to get to know the people I met. A great success, and I have a lensbaby to play with too ;)
First indications from my shots from the trip are good, I thought I would start with a people shot, I dont enjoy shooting people as much but must say that I did enjoy it more this time and found it fun, so you never know, may see a few more.
There were a few of us that shot this chap, so you may see him aorund over the next few days. Shot with my macro lens on, didnt bother changing it when he came along.

Yay, was good to actually put your face to this blog as I often view this with a few others who attended the London trip. I never did realise you could use a macro lens for normal shooting and this looks great, has a very dark element to it compared...

Looks like you were with John and Dave then ;) Wish I could have been along to meet up with some of you guys. Never mind, maybe next time.

nice shot, paul! it's great to see another perspective of the same subject. it looks like he's wondering what you're doing! shame i was busy feeding on a bagle and didn't get to take a pic of him. i look forward to seeing more of your shots.

Great shot John. Just seen 2 other images of this guy, he must have been quite a character. Love the shadows around the eyes and mouth, gives depth and adds to the expression. Nice one!

Im gutted that I couldnt make it... Why did they have to have the Love Parade on the same weekend? This picture has a sort of Eastern Block Communist Quality to it... I dont know why.

I like how the shadows hide his eyes and add a hint of mystery and danger. Nice work.

Hay Paul is good to see the same guy here, I already saw him (as you said) in a couple of photoblogs. Nice to have three different perspectives of the same someone.

WOW - I like that one a lot! I looks so completly different than the two others. Probably I'll post my version today.

Hey Paul. Great to meet you and thanks for your excellent navigation skills on finding the others on Sunday morning ;-0 I think Frisky is right with the 'Eastern Block' feel to it. Really nice portrait.

interesting! I have to say you emerge the overall winners on this guy! I love the shadows covering his eyes...and that little sparkle on the left eye. Wonderful skin tone and you managed to handle the background rather well. The other shots i've seen has pretty contrasting background which takes away alittle of my attention. Great shot Paul!
