5th September 2005 : Pink St Annes
UPDATE : Steve pointed out that I already posted this one, so I have changed the image to similiar fish eye shot of the same location......I must be going mad, forgot I had posted it earlier.
Heres one from the beach at St Annes, a rather pink shot, funny how the different colours come out in the exposures dependant on camera model, exposure settings etc...I did have this one on an experimental exposure compensation....ahem. I remmeber Daves being much more blue on his canon. May have been the settings, or the profiles, who knows. Rather looks like Mars again.....
Camera : Nikon D70
Lens : Nikon 18-70mm F3.5-4.5G ED
Focal Length : 24mm
30 sec at F3.8
Exposure Comp : +5EV

Love the 'fiber optics' on the horizon - I especially like the triangle formed by the moon, the reflection on the wet beach, and the prominent light on the horizon at right. An evening's feast of color play...

I love when the sunset's pictures turn out with this pink and blue tonalities. Beautiful picture.

Thats another incredible Landscape Paul. The colours are surreal. What time of day do you take shots like this?

This is just a thought, but it may be more red because the Nikon D70 is more sensitive to infrared light than Canons. It may also be the lens. :)

Wow! The earth just got smaller.

This is a great perspective; it comes across as less distorted than many fish eye shots I've seen, but still has that mind bending effect on my perception.

Cool, the colours are great, makes me want to get a fisheye lens, they look like a lot of fun.

Nice! It looks as if I am standing on a planet and looking around it.
Ling on 7th September 2005 @ 9:11am
I was just about to say what Ling said, feels like a distant planet :) Those colours are just devine.

FISH!! FISH!!! got to get me one of those - or at least a 10-20mm. liking the warped persective. Someone once said the D70s are much more sensative to red (Nikons have always been colour bias towards skin tones apparently) I've also heard togs say point a D70 at anything red, and it will come out well.
ChrisK on 8th September 2005 @ 9:10am
Awesome colors. Very nice.
