11th August 2005 : Le Vieux Lavoir
Hehe, this one made my wife smile as she did her usual translations for me. Being lazy, I totally relied on her do all the talking while in France and Germany as she speaks both languages from living in both countries. Most handy.
This was shot in the fortified city of Carcassonne in France, during our walk around in the morning sun.
I think tommorrow I will post a Chateau Postcard shot, just to be cliche ;) we shall see.

well I understad your wife perfectly. I've been used as a translator myself although as you can clearly see my english is not good enough :(. Nice composition.

Mmmhmm, so what's the translation then? The sign appears to stick out at a funny (non-perpendicular) angle from the wall. Or is it me? :)

Hehe, yeah, the translating. Well, I am currently in Mexico (originally from Germany) but without a translator -- actually trying to study here, in Spanish. You can probably guess I'm struggling a little. ;) Anyhow, when are we going to see some shots from Germany? Naturally, I am very interested in hearing how you liked it there.

Just found your blog. My daughter just returned from a year in France and we 'used' her mercilessly as our translator when we visited in June and July. Your photography is incredible! Any pictures of Annecy, Nice, or Villefranche Sur Mer, FR?
