10th August 2005 : The Doors
This is a shot I took during a walk around Mont Saint Michel, I have no idea where these doors lead, but I can tell you that there is a huge drop directly behind this wall, perhaps its a lookout point....I have no idea.

Sort of reminds me of The Hobbit's house. I like it.

Incredible - I absolutely love this shot. Those doors look so solid and so very old, and from this angle the small lichen-covered stone structure looks like an open book. And look at that blue sky! Excellent stuff.

What fantastic character it has too; this scene looks so rural and salubrious. A lovely, contrasty shot.

I really love this one. It reminds me of a red cottage near from the institute where I spend my christmas vacations. :)

How do you get that deep blue polarizer effect? Do you make it more dramatic in RAW conversion to simulate what you see? I see blue skies but it always turns up differently for me in the camera. I have a 20D, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem...no? Any advice, please email me, thanks Paul. WONDERFUL shot, needless to say.
