30th June 2005 : Cylon Sunset
Fleetwood.
This one was shot on the outing with Dave, John and Ioannis. The contrast on the original was not as intense as this, the huge band of clouds above the sun in the distance was an intresting effect. Strange how the light makes the sea look almost liquid metal. I know its another sunset, but what the hell ;) I like it.
Update : Here is how *one* of the originals looked, as I took a few and couldnt be bothered to find the exact original ;) so you can tell the difference, its not straight either. Cylon

Yes taking about susnsets. I think that;s prety much what we post, sunsets, and there's nothing like having clouds around so you really get a huge spectacule. Besides that, maybe we are us to beautiful sunsets, but there are places where you can't never see one of these for real.

The sea is the best on this one...

Wow - youre going to do wonders for british tourism. You'll make everyone think we have sunsets like this everyday :P stunning shot, Paul. I've never seen anything like this.

Romantic enough to think of Battlestar Galactica, certainly :) I do agree that the water looks fantastic and full of character.

Nice shot Paul, who cares if its another sunset if it looks this good. Great colours in the sky and on the water.

great lava sky effect - the sea looks cool too like mercury on the boil.

the sunset is amazing, sort of end-of-the-world feel... the contrast is however too strong for me, especially the sea and the huge band of clouds. Too dark i suppose... and the sea too "hard"

Stunning! Great color and clarity. It's an absolutely breathtaking shot!
Jen on 30th June 2005 @ 6:04pm
that band of cloud over the sun and also your post processing make this shot for me. the sun seems an eye and the sea lava or liquid metal as u mentioned.

Wicked sunset!! Maybe a tad dark, but the increased contrast makes it all the more dramatic. Simply amazing! Love the new comment system, btw.
