21st June 2005 : Longbow Another shot from the Medieval Fayre, this time of an English Longbow Archer. You can see from the size of the bow why the term Longbow is used and how they differed from the smaller european bows. This was the modern day equivalent of the machine gun, with archers capable at peak of 10-12 arrows per minute. This fella was studying the target. Missed yesterdays post due to work commitments....is all a bit mad at the moment.
