17th June 2005 : Cross Anna Sjostrom fires in another sweeping cross for Sweden against Norway last night. Sweden ended up being defeated in the semi final of the Womens Euro 2005 tie at the Halliwell Jones - Warrington Wolves stadium. Norway snatched victory after extra time 3-2 with two goals from player of the match Solveig Gulbrandsen. She really did have a cracker My daughter was one of the Uefa flag wavers as she plays football for a local girls team, so I sat in the stand with the 300mm on and snapped a few from the game (ended up watching most of it as it was an excellent game). Norway now face Germany in the final.
